Punctuation [:punct]

The four modes of the Punctuation command are:

·      None - No punctuation is spoken.

·      Some - Text is read normally.

·      All - All punctuation is spoken.

·      Pass - Turns off all special punctuation processing. For example, periods as part of file names.

The pass option is useful in proofreading as well as in applications where special characters are encountered, such as in a computer program. This command is synchronous.

Note
When the [:punct none] command is used, no punctuation is pronounced although dollar amounts and percentages are still processed.
